Unfinished Stories-Weaving Memory Together
This project began with the unfinished crochet pieces of my friend’s grandmother — small traces of care left after her passing. When I encountered those fragments, I felt her gesture still alive through the threads. I decided to continue it, not to finish what she couldn’t, but to honor the continuity of touch and memory.
Unfinished Stories invites people to join this act of connection. Each participant contributes an unfinished or sentimental textile piece, forming a suspended web of shared memory.

Pleasureville Series
In my egg shell project, I explore the concept of human history encapsulated within the delicate and symbolic form of an egg shell. This project serves as a metaphorical vessel, representing the fragility, resilience, and continuity of human civilization across time. Each egg shell is adorned with intricate designs and patterns inspired by various epochs and cultures, inviting viewers to reflect on the interconnectedness of our shared past and the enduring nature of human experience. Through this artistic endeavor, I aim to provoke contemplation on the cyclical nature of history and the universal narratives that bind us together.

Project "What's Up?"
The moment we open our eyes in the morning, we begin the process of acceptance and rejection of the world that surrounds us. We accept the things familiar, soothing, comforting and valuable in our lives. We also reject both in physical and in psychological ways, whatever does not comfort our souls. The dichotomy of love and hate, pride and humility in
everyday life is the basis of this work. The conflict occurs when we are unable to either acceptor reject the reality that surrounds us. This work represents the inner conflict that the
material world challenges to our innermost well-being. We are all vulnerable and fragile individuals easily manipulated and solicited. Yet deep in our heart, we know the outer shell
does not even begin to represent the pulsating and ever growing inner individuality.

Project "For Naomi"
The idea came from my personal experience in taking care of elderly parents in their last dying years. My inspiration was my own hands-on reality that touched the frail minds and bodies of the aged on a daily basis. The suffering was mutual and equally intense, but neither party was able to understand the other side’s perspective at the time of suffering. We were too occupied playing our own assigned roles.
This is my own debriefing of those painful moments, now few years past by. Through these paintings and installation, I wanted to heal and regenerate my own suffocating soul. Indeed, the project was a very selfish way to externalize my own internal struggle. I wanted to visualize those moments of confusion, frustration, denial, anger, deep sorrow, and finally, reluctant acceptance of the inevitable.
However, this project also offered me something completely unexpected. It shed new light into the whole experiences from the opposite perspective, those who are cared for. I felt overwhelming sensation of sympathy, love, understanding, and the full realization of the inevitable path that we all must go through. It was very humanly and existential moment for me.
I was then empowered to challenge myself to make this project a bridge of understanding between the cared-for and the caring.
